What to do before meeting a professional
The most important thing to do is know why you're going. Do you need help organizing your finances? Do you want to draw up a new will or modify an existing one? Do you need help settling your spouse's estate? Do you want to invest some money? Knowing why you're meeting with someone will help determine what paperwork you need to bring. Also, ask the professional you're planning to meet with "Is there anything I need to do or to bring with me for our meeting?"
